Imagine spending years on your self-indulgent vanity project that exists solely to flaunt a bunch of CGI mocap on the screen (while denying that it's an animated movie) to cover up a generic Kindergarten-level story about how pollution bad only for the critics to prefer a silly kids' movie about a talking sponge that doesn't take itself nearly as seriously. I'd fucking quit.

A 90% from professional film critics is pretty concerningIs this a sign the movie's good or a bad omen
>>151767161I saw an advanced screening today. The movie was about on par with Sponge On the Run. As a SpongeBob fan who just wanted to see the characters, it was satisfying 7/10. I liked that they showed Mr. Krabs's soft side, though they definitely overdid it. However, as a fan of cartoon comedy, it was only a 6/10. The Day the Earth Blew Up, Dog Man, and Fixed were all funnier movies.I decided to make the screening a meetup for my social media followers. 8 people showed up. If I knew it was gonna be mid, I would've chosen something better.
