What it should have been was a movie focused on them fighting crime as a family, as that was the best part of 1 and how it ended off. Instead most of the runtime was elastigirl on her own the same way mr. Incredible was in the first movie. So the plot structure was rehashed. The villian was also again a non-super who used technology to act as a super villian. While I think her motivation was alright and I commend them for not doing the first most obvious thing and making Saul the bad guy, her "powers" were also too over the top and silly from a logistical standpoint. You're telling me she can control a dozen superheros at once with hypnosis? Hypnosis itself barely works and the people have to be willing for it to work on them.There were small parts of the movie I liked, I thought most of the family stuff was fun. It looked good and was entertaining, but it did fall short of what I actually wanted. I also thought the baby's powers were too much. Him having a dozen superpowers is just kinda gay. And the new supers they introduced were lame. Especially the jeet vomit guy and the blue hair girl. Also the owl is literally just an owl-human hybrid. What the fuck?
