Around 2015 Kyle is in a Vega system mini written by King that has him as full Mexican, speaking in broken Spanish, constancy praying on a rosary, and he talks about his abuela in one issue. Fans take that as Kyle was retconned as Mexican and raised Mexican post New 52. Never confirmed by anyone in DC, but it was a constant argument held around that time. But since 2018 or so Kyle is always front and center every September for Hispanic Heritage month stuff.That pic was actually a fix, the original was way more stupid.
