When I imagine Garfield, it is like the one on the right since my mom had a bunch of earlier Garfield merch. I like how that one feels like something native to walking on four legs and standing pose is more like sitting. Ones like the left are familiar as well from TV and some of the later Garfield collected books she had with longer limbs. I don't think I really thought about his design differences at the time.
