I can't believe Marvel brought Netflix Defenders back from the grave, acknowledged obscure Agent Carter show and shitty Inhumans in main MCU movies, but still refuses to make Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., beloved show that ran for 7 seasons canon. It's like Feige is personally mad at it or something and the worst part is that this show used to be the most connected to movies back in the day, constantly getting cameos from MCU actors, pilot episode being directed by then Avengers director Whedon and generally being built around the events of upcoming movies.
Coulson not getting anything in Endgame is actually crazy
>>151780457Bringing the actor back in the same year, but for a prequel role in Captain Marvel was such a troll move
>>151780438>It's like Feige is personally mad at it or somethingHe is. The whole reason why he cancelled all those shows (except for Agent Carter, which he had a creative hand in) is because they were all Perlmutter's attempts at trying to exert influence on the MCU. When Disney gave Fiege full control over Marvel, he had all those shows cancelled and only now is cherrypicking parts of it as both to attract their viewers but also as a big "fuck you" to Perlmutter.>this show used to be the most connected to movies back in the dayThem stealing props off from Marvel Studios (yes, they were actually taking shit off of the sets without permission and without the propmasters' knowledge) and occasionally getting Sam Jackson to cameo (because he doesn't give a fuck and will do just about anything thrown his way for shits and gigs) did not make it the most connected. The movies contradicted that horrible shitshow at every turn. It was the MOST disconnected from the movies ironically by it's own efforts and it got so much so that in the later seasons they stopped trying altogether.

>>151780597He is talking bullshit, at absolute worst movies simply ignored Agents of Shield
It's because Feige and most creatives didn't want it. They hated that Coulson got rezzed when they wanted him to be the big shocking Whedon death that got the MCU kicking into high gear, and they'd planned to collapse Shield entirely because it was causing problems with getting legit military backing like the Transformers films had, but since it got approved by the higher ups they had to do it. They also said that any kind of synchronization was impossible because of how early the movies were filmed relative to the show as well as the fact that the movie guys wanted Shield just gone so they didn't have to worry about it. Meanwhile there were fans of the show that only cared about the show and thought the movies turned to shit post Avengers 1 so they had kind of a rivalry going. Eventually they just stopped giving a shit which is why AoS basically ignored Infinity War and the Blip maknig it basically non canon
