>>151781566I blame Justin Roiland for this, not Newgrounds. Roiland was the reason shows like YOLO and Smiling Friends got greenlit. He advocated for the creators because they worked for him for years and was trying to produce them all under his name. He also made that crappy Paloni halloween variety special which featured most of the Newgrounds stars and their animation styles.Despite being canceled now, Roiland was the first guy from the internet to have a popular animated TV series coming from Channel 101 (which predates Newgrounds) and he paved the way for that annoying banter comedy that now ALL of these adult swim shows do.Newgrounds is really not responsible for anything that is on adult swim, it was just a starting place for some of young amateur artists before YouTube. The creators of these shows just keeping kissing Newgrounds's ass because the website is irrelevant and needs a shout out every few months.
