It's a horror-themed comedy. Early on it sometimes does straight up horror to strenghthen the tone and theme of the series but even that is very few-and-far between and completely sanitized for kids TV. KND often did full action to reinforce the thematic of the show but calling it an action cartoon would be retarded, it was an action-themed comedy.Courage the Cowardly Dog was a horror comedy, Billy and Mandy was a Goth Halloween-themed comedy, not horror.
