>let's make our hero a fat middle-aged slob
What audience is this targeted at? Children don't want to idolize a character like Mr. Incredible.

first of all, he was still jacked. hardly a 'slob.' fucker was just built more like a brawler or an oldtime boxer instead of 'a superhero'
secondly, THAT'S what bugs you? Not the way his nose fucking connects to his brow? not the gross, patchy, translucent skin tone?

Kids still like characters like Batman and Spider-Man. Mr. Incredible is just how you don't make an appealing superhero.

They still have cool designs and interesting/likable personalities. Mr. Incredible has none of those qualities.

A lot of young boys admired Mr Incredible. For his super strength, his quick thinking and agility, but for me? It's his deep love for his family and desire to keep him safe. He reminds me of my own dad actually.

Im fairly certain that this guy who made the thread is the Disney.jpg fag, he constantly bitches about how Jews and Disney never appeals to boys and regularly fantasizes about killing normies and children who watch Disney films that don’t reach his autistic standard.

>They allow their kids to fight killer criminals
Obviously you didn't watch the movie or were more likely too young to remember anything outside of the big flashy parts but if you'd like, I can explain to your <80 IQ brain the reason why their kids were on the island in the first place. See, Bob was improving his life, getting fit and paid, something you also ignore in every post you make on the Incredibles. So Helen was happy until she noticed Bob's old super suit has a patch in it, immediately contacting Edna, Edna activates Bob's tracker and so Helen decides to go after him. However, Dash and Violet get suspicious about where Helen's going as she's being vague and carrying around super suits that fit the three of them. So the two kids sneak onto the plane Helen borrowed and surprise, evil lair is protected by missiles. So Helen, with no way of getting her kids off the island, tells them the honest truth of "These bad guys will kill you, so use your powers". Now you might whine like a tard "but wuh bout Incredibles 2?". Helen and Bob specifically told them to stay put with Jack-Jack, since the city was in danger, the kids don't listen and try to help. Now skip the most mediocre Pixar plot ever and suddenly Bob and Helen are brainwashed and about to cause a national incident. Dash and Violet are the only two that can help in this situation. Not once did Helen or Bob go "You can go fight a thug now"
>>
This movie came out when my kids were still children and them and their friends loved the movie and the characters in general. Kids aren't as autistic as /co/ posters.
>>
>>151794434
Yeah, and Hellen basically tells Dash to simply run, not to fight the villains. She's smart enough that Dash alone isn't ready to fight criminals. She put Violet in charge because she knew also that she wouldn't get them in trouble. The kids were going to be fine if Dash hadn't accidentally triggered the alert and called for security to go after them.
>>
>>151791606
You have no idea what the point of this movie was, do you? At times, it's shocking that subtext and an even basic framework of themes could be so totally lost on the viewing audience.

What? He has super strength. I thought he was cool as a kid. Even as a dad he was a "cool dad".

>What audience is this targeted at?
1) Kids (yay super heroes!!!)
2) Man children (i too could get in shape...)
3) People who like to laugh
4) People who watched a lot of super hero movies
5) People who know what family life can feel like some days
6) People who understand "being with the boys way so cool, right?" nostalgia

...it can reach many people. How is it possible for you to not fit in any of these groups? Do you have anything in your life? What are you spending your time on that you cant to relate to anything?

Ctitics, while mostly being assholes, do one thing right: They rate a movie for what its ment to be. Audience most often just answers the question: Were you part of the target audience?

SUPERMAN says otherwise.

As well as MANY OTHER aspects of INCREDIBLES that are part of SUPERMAN since they came out after 1933. Which EVERYONE on This planet is naturally ATTRACTED to, sexually or philosophically or otherwise. And attraction is after all is just a FEELING like a DREAM, which is not even real and Yet there is even dedicated LEGO video game and Video Game spin-off of INCREDIBLES 1 which is sorta-sequel and then "official" INCREDIBLES 2 sequel which is deconstruction of the first one in the same way how Action Comics #1 is a FOOL deconstruction of Reign of the Super-Man and how Action Comics #2 starts where Action Comics #1 ends and Structuarly Is a deconstruction of #1 (Multiple story lines about first PUBLIC knowledge of "Superman" (doesn't even call himself that >>151796337 ) vs a 1 story entire issue). Same way how #3 and #4 deconstruct #2 ie 2 = %99 of Superman in Caped-costume vs 3 and 4 = 1% of Superman in his Caped-costume. Et cetera , et cetera. >>151795550 Dread it, run from it, stumble, curse upon it, you WILL embrace the Truth regardless because there Is no "Other Way" other than that (which also inherently includes Other ways, same how Superman is gravity-bound but also can Fall UP ie how he really "Flies" kinda how Fallout ie Henry Cavill Mission Impossible film where he looks like Two-Face in the end much like original Two-Face called Harvey KENT which is Jewish word for Familiar but also name of Clark KENT whom Henry Cavill also played before and after Fallout, which is both reference to his video game hobby and his movie role)

>It IS Gonna be great
Which is True the more and more years pass since The Phantom Menace came out as it gathers MORE AND MORE fans and haters either die out or become fans and "Join in the Sun" like SUPERMAN predicted it all. Which George Lucas obviously studied , especially for explanation of The Force super-powers AND their progression (since Star Wars 1977 (or Bigger year if it is non-Peter 1 Russian time Or Buddhist Era which George Luke-ASS Also studied) since it came out First in THIS 3D reality) to Prequels and eventually Sequels it is THE same how SUPERMAN powers evolved since Reign of the Super-Man 1933 to Action Comics #1 to K-Metal from planet Krypton to Superman #17 to Superman #146 and "kill me and I will become stronger you can EVER imagine" is literally The Spectre story in More Fun Comics #52 and #53 SUPER-imposed with Superman comics in the Same 1940.

It is same how Volandemort actor getting Serbian passport was predicted by Svetozar actor from Ni na nebu ni na zemlji 1994 film because he just LOOKED similar just TOO much for this reality to handle otherwise.

Looking at my own supply (it is why Jessie (not-Eisenberg's BvS Lex but he too in case of BvS) Pink-Man (ofc, brabo bince) ends up The most in-tact character and Alive in Breaking Bad obviously capeshit-inspired universe) here even fEEDing in this >>151796455 upper left with Action Comics demonstrated covers ie #1 when FINALLY a "Greatest strip of 1936!" (yellow-ed scan below covers listing) was finally released in...1938 (Kept you waiting, huh?) DC STILL did Not want to put Superman on their covers any-More, until their shitty (=>Kal=Superman=Trueman from Maximortal = El Guano= shit in Russian = "Krypton" of Jerry Siegel's and Joe Shuster's dads) experiment ("Experiment Excrement!" - Aqua Teen Hunger Force) with #7 and #8 covers you see that on [NIN]TH ie Action Comics #9 try they gave up and admitted that delusional Joe Shuster drawing that thing in 1936 was right ALL along just like delusional Jor-L ie THE ONLY scientist in Krypton who FEELs that it Will explode and kill everyone was Also right. That even THO! it is a non-Superman cover you now ALWAYS have this rectangle indicating that Superman IS "inside" or else
>>151791606
>Children
won't mind fuck their 1939 poorest economy parents to spend invaluable cents on some caped "shit" character instead of buy a normal book or even just More food, which is more nutritional and helpful than any made-up character , especially by guys that weren't even good in school or artist that KENT draw "good" like Joe Shuster was always criticized by everyone.

And I FEEL fine. Like Constantine.
