If this deal goes through, are you prepared to never see a good DC movie or show ever again?

Or Scooby-Doo? Cartoon Network? Game of Thrones? Harry Potter? All will become Netflix second screen slop
>>
>>151791991
>Or Scooby-Doo?
Velma.
>Cartoon Network?
Cartoonito.
>Game of Thrones?
Been slop since season whatever.
>Harry Potter?
Black Snape under WB.

It’s already happened to all WB properties.
>>
>>151791991
you realize that's the least of our problems if two more media giants are allowed to combine

also this is not remotely /co/
>>
>>151792033
>also this is not remotely /co/
How is the prospect of one of the Big Two literally dying not /co/
>>
Feels like Scooby is gonna be business as usual with the annual specials. We never really talk about how zombie that franchise is now
>>
>>151791991
I will watch my blu-rays and rips pf the DCAU until I die. As I get older, I realize most DC film projects aren't and were never good.
>>
>>151791991
This has already happened
>>
>>151791991
There hasn't been a good anything of those in years anyway. I genuinely don't think it could get any worse. Netflix sometimes gets one show out of a dozen ok. That's a lot better odds than anything Warner Brothers or Cartoon Network has done in years. The only real loss is possibly MeTv and Boomerang.

What happened is that the west is in a creative lull, those have happened occasionally like in the 70s for example which were notably lesser quality than the decades prior and after them in various creative media (notably /co/), so there was always the possibility of things getting better

Netflix on the other hand has never been good and is only getting worse with each year, which means it's over forever for those IPs if Netflix gets their hands on them

Why are Western character designers so allergic to tits?

Big muscles + big boobs + slim, athletic hips with a nice, round ass is what a bombshell, physically powerful female character should look like.
>>
>>151792175
I see. Netflix hasn't been around for a long time tho tbf
>>
>>151792189
because women get triggered by other attractive women. even if they're fictional.
>>
>>151792192
They have been around for long enough for us to have a clear picture of their goals, on top of that they literally came out and stated those goals by saying they want to be second screen content

They make slop movies that feel cheap and fake, slop TV shows full of filler that they cancel prematurely, will kill theaters and home media, and have no interest in comics or games, it's over for DC if Netflix gets them
>>
>>151792228
Yeah you're right
>>
>>151792100
>Netflix has never been good
I'm probably walking on eggshells here but are you referring only to original content made "in-house" (The Sea Beast, In Your Dreams) or are you also lumping in acquisitions (K-Pop Demon Hunters, Green Eggs and Ham)? Because most Netflix animated originals aren't actually made by Netflix, they just give creators the funding to make exclusive content for their platform.

Men are the ones who actually pay for capeshit, pulp like Tomb Raider, etc. That's who the creators should worry about
>>
>>151792100
>Netflix on the other hand has never been good
house of cards
>>
>>151791991
I heard one of the programmers over at Netflix really likes DCSHG so maybe we'll get a season 3.
>>
>>151792264
these companies hang to the retarded idea that once something has fans, they just stay forever, no matter what happens. So they think now that they already have the men, they got to appeal to the women to increase their audience.
The idea that the men might actually leave, because of all the changes, perplexes them.
>>
>>151792100
>Netflix on the other hand has never been good
You watch Gulliermo Del Toro's Frankenstein and then tell me Netflix was never good
>>
Smiling Friends would be the only true loss, everything else from WB has already gone to shit.

Genuine brainlet take.
>>
>>151792334
That movie's good because of Del Toro not because of Netflix, Netflix media is generally garbage.
>>
>>151792849
You think Bob Iger personally oversaw Zootopia 2?
>>
>>151792761
I wonder if the Warner Archive guys have been rapid-firing out old shows because they anticipate a merger grinding things to a halt.
>>
>>151792875
No I'm just saying netflix's general management has been a disaster for quality.
>>151792904
Could be.
>>
>>151792314
No, dipshit, you idiots just stopped buying comics so they looked elsewhere.
>>
Joker was the LAST Good DC film. nothing else since Dark Knight was good. animated stuff has been most good good but none of the live action films.

sure Synder Cut had some good DarkSeid stuff but come on.
>>
>>151793059
I forgot the mention The Batman & Penguin. those were good too. but still the point is zero consistency.
>>
>>151792175
Even stupider given that the 70s were arguably the peak for various cape characters and comics were still generally good
>>
>>151792849
List /co/ shows and movies that you think are "original" Netflix creations.
>>
>>151792968
we stopped buy comics because they decided they didn't want to write for the fans anymore. They wanted DIVERSITY
don't rewrite history you dumb fucking bint

So they found a new audience and didn't hit new lows, right? It'd be quite silly if the entire entertainment industry was crashing over this.

I'll be fine, 2020 was the year of Plundering for me, and I think I had my fill since nothing has piqued my interest to unfrurl the sails in a while

I'm prepared to see an amazing show for 1 season before it gets cancelled
>>

When where they ever good? No seriously, when. At least Marvel had the first three phases before it turned to shit.

>are you prepared to never see a good DC movie or show ever again?
There hasn't been any in the last decade.

BTAS is the main reason I still like capeshit today.
>>
>>151793069
The issue with "the Batman stuff is still good" isn't that too much love is being given to Batman. It's that those aren't being made as just superhero movies.
Batman is the crime noire superhero and both Reeves and Nolan approached them as crime noire thrillers with action mixed in. They can't be used to reflect DC's approach as a whole because you don't even need a director who loves DC. You just need someone who is passionate about making a noire film
>>
>>151795809
Less competition means more monopolization of media which means more DEI trash, less quality of media and service and higher prices. Physical media is going to die quicker.
>>
>>151798156
All retarded talking points that won't happen
>>
>>151798813
Yeah anon netflix is very good about releasing dvds and not shoving DEI trash everywhere. Their subscription prices are also more than fair.
