>>151796021He carries nose filters for just that reason and a mini oxygen cartridge mouthpiece for underwater. In most cases though he's not going to need them and they could even be a hindrance. Besides, it's hard to sound intimidating in a respirator unless you're Bane.

Every time he chucks them in Arkham its a plea for helo from him to see if its even possible. Since every villian is a mirror of a part of Bruce/Batmans psychology he needs to reform them all to put down the cowl and be fully comfortable in human skin, which he hasn't felt since that night in the ally.
