Is it even bad? I am going to watch it for the first time but put it off because of all the hate here and on /tv/. I will also watch the sequel. Did you like the Miles Morales movies, or were they only for profit?
>>151796313They were fun enough. Miles and Gwen are the weakest aspects and also what the team are clearly most focused on. Worth a watch.
miles the best cause he black like me and he fuck white woman how that make you feel
>>151796313Why do people make threads before watching something? Just watch the damn thing. Then, if you want to talk about it, make a thread.
>>151796313No it's not fucking bad, why the hell would you take the opinions of a bunch of retards on a Mongolian horseback basket-weaving forum seriously?
>>151796361I'm watching it now. The art style is pretty good but some of the animation is janky. The commentary on social backgrounds is kinda overplayed in the start but I guess they needed some tension with Miles being from a black working class background in an elite boarding private school.
First movie>just a retread of Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man 2 with worse humor, worse main character, a multiverse gimmick, more commercialism and choppy animationSecond movie>an unholy culmination of everything wrong with the DEI era where the entirety of all Spider-Man ever is tainted forever so the diversity hire replacement can look good in comparison
>>151796313There's an entire thirty minutes dedicated to glazing Indian culture
>>151796313No movies are made for profit. prove me wrong
>>151796351it's more Gwen that is pegging him
I liked the Spot and how he was portrayed....wish there was more of him and less of the last act's fucking absolute mess regarding the Spider-Society or how Miguel is handled that is guaranteed to have written the sequel into a corner no matter what it does.
>>151796474With his tranny penis.
Spider-verse is the only time I liked Miles as a character
Kingpin is literally Drumpf>corrupt oligarch property developer turned evil because of grief
>>151796559>Implying that Trump ever felt a squib of grief in his life.No but seriously though the guy's inspired literal cartoon villains his entire life. I mean christ they parodied his ass on Sesame Street... IN THE EIGHTIES. I don't know if Kingpin can trace creative lineage to Trump directly, but the New York property market was quite literally cut-throat back in the day, nothing was getting done without the mob. There ain't no way Trump wasn't in with them, especially given that he owned a suspiciously empty rail yard throughout some of the worst years for New York's organised crime stats. Never even tried to redevelop it despite land being at a premium. Makes you wonder what went down there.
Just finished it and felt like I'd already seen this movie before. The same plot existed in Superman 2025:>reality is tearing apart because of this device that warps different universes!>only a team of heroes can save the day and stop the device, but only by almost getting blown to another dimension! But I did some research and apparently DC started the multiverse arcs a decade before Marvel
>>151796343Really, I thought the Miles Peter dynamic in the first was a pretty solid mentor-student thing
>>151796313Nic Cage voices a character who is in it for maybe five minutes and still completely steals the movie.
>>151796313first movie is overrated but not badsecond movie doesn’t even tell a complete story, stay far away from it
>>151796889Miles contributes almost nothing unique to it. Peter B is doing most of the heavy lifting, and Miles basically is just a foil for him to emote at. Like, there is the mask moment, which is a fun visual gag, sure, but how much of "Miles' personality" makes the movie better?
>>151796313>Is it even bad?Racists would have me believe it is without any actual proof
>>151796559Kingpin is actually slighty competent and less fat. Your allegory falls apart
>>151796313This is literally the worst place to ask.
>>151796313I love it. Second one was fine I guess. Less cohesive plot.
>>151796386They have to put (((mandated))) "I am black, look at my culture!" (proceeds to do grafitti and rap) but then it's just Spider-Man stuff.>>151796313I'd wait till part 3 drops tbqgdhwyf
