British anons, has anyone heard of this supposed new channel named "Cartoon Classics"? It apparently launched in late October on Freeview and consists of various old cartoons including Danger Mouse, Count Duckula and The Smurfs among others. However, not only am I getting no signal on the channel, but it seems no one else can, and not even YouTube has any videos of any TV continuity or the sort. What is with this mysterious channel? Is it some kind of scam?https://www.advanced-television.com/2025/11/11/cartoon-classics-fast-channels-on-freeview/https://www.c21media.net/news/cartoon-classics-fast-channel-launches-on-freeview-in-uk/
>>151796320if its legit and their air victor and hugo bunglers in crime i will personally fly to the uk and suck the dick of any anon that caps and ups it.
>Programmes include Danger Mouse, Sonic X, Count Duckula, Lego Legends of Chima, Nexo Knights and The Smurfs.Ah yes, all true cartoon classics
>>151796320 For some reason when I search this up it leads to https://www.freeview.co.uk/cartoon-classics but the button at bottom leads to a depreciated url for a different channel "YAAAS!" https://web.archive.org/web/20240527033535/https://vod365.co.uk/project-details/yaaas/
>>151796320It's listed on Freeview's official site as channel 214 with a guide and everything (currently showing Duckula) so I think it's definitely real.https://www.freeview.co.uk/tv-guideI don't even have a TV aerial or a loicence though so I can't check for myself, no idea if there's any way to tune into freeview on a PC.
>>151796424I think, if you can't find the channel, then it was likely something that was cancelled last minute with vod365 going defunct.
Is it me, or is this whole thing … creepy?
Okay, this rabbit hole is getting deeper. When the channel was first launched, The Sun did an article on it:https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/37091103/freeview-new-kids-channel/However, in a later report where they mention Pop and Tiny Pop's closures, they aren't mentioning it at all:https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/37590179/nostalgic-shows-tv-channel-vanish-freeview/Have we all moved into another dimension where all mention of this channel has vanished?
>>151798201What has this got to do with the channel we're talking about? Bob the Builder wasn't one of the channels.
Is anyone else going to look into this mystery?
>>151796395I'd say danger mouse and duckula count. as least from a british pov
