the hour-long episodes were comfysame with fosters home and camp lazlo
There's plenty of scenes where the female animals lust for the human male character, and for that I'm grateful.

It was far from their best show but I really dont know why it has such a bad reputation now.>>151798722>>151799152These dudes get it.

People REALLY underestimate how bad cartoons actually were in the mid-2000s. You had stuff like My Dad the Rock Star, Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, Super Robot Monkey Team and fucking Johnny Test. Sure, a lot of good series premiered during this time, but they were teen-oriented and the TV-Y7 demographic was increasingly being ignored to make way for more baby shows. The fact of the matter is, MGPAM pulled its weight a lot more than the cartoons surrounding it, like Squirrel Boy and Class of 3000, which have both been forgotten. It's also more stable in terms of quality, unlike Camp Lazlo or Foster's which both had some of the best and worst episodes of anything on the network.

>>151800140I think a big part of why they were getting so bad is because the premises started getting too specific. I mean, looking at the Cartoon Cartoons, you had:>boy genius has a hidden laboratory>three little girls with superpowers fight crime>three pre-teen outcasts hang out together >dog protects his elderly owners from weird things>buff guy hits on womenAnd all of these concepts are loose enough that writers can (and did) come up with entertaining plots that still felt natural within the given world. The concepts presented with My Gym Partner's A Monkey, Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, and the others were too tightly constrained by their premise, so the scripts for their episodes felt either bland or weirdly disjointed from the setting.
