Why is the DVD of Avatar: The Last Airbender so bad? What's the best way to watch this show in its original resolution?

Shitty Hanna-Barbera toons from the 60s are now available in 2K due to film scanning and cel restoration, while most digital cartoons from the 2000s are forever cucked at standard definition 480p or getting smudgy upscales at bestCraaaazy huh?

There aren't really any good answers. Pick your poison between terrible standard definition crunchiness and terrible up-scaling that smudges out any line definition. I think the last time I watched it was a some fanmade pirate upscale to 720p which was somewhat tolerable but definitely not good.
