Anyone watch this? Found it at a flea market for pretty cheap and it looks pretty strange.
Damn, I haven't thought about this in years. I saw this in HMV back in the day and it blew my mind that something on Newgrounds was getting a physical release
Oh wow, someone out there other than me knows about this. I made a few threads of BS before, and nobody would bite.I loved this series. Was a bit part of my teenage years growing up. I feel its a time capsule of what the 2000s era felt like for many.
I remember this being controversial and scrutinized for making a former Iraqi fighter a hero.
>>151804635Glad i could job your memory. Do you remember liking it? The DVD set is actually pretty cool. Included a booklet and some kinda blueprints on black paper, I think>>151804832I've seen very little discussion of it except a few reddit posts. It definitely looks of its time but has a pretty cool premise. I love this early 2000s aesthetic so I'm sure I'll be into it
>>151804911>911Checks out. I've heard it's controversial and a good blend of based and cringe so hopefully it'll be a fun 12 hours
>>151804635>>151804832Is it any good?
>>151803907Bump of interest
Bump
>>151804991It depends on your taste. It's a slow burn mystery thriller, with a bunch of religious symbology and themes woven into the characters. It's essentially a visual novel.
>>151807666Thanks satan
Their used to be a sizable following of the series back when the series was still new. The creators would raise money by throwing raves in Vancouver. Normal conversations on the forums were about who had the biggest dick (it was egg farmer).
The Serial Experiments Lain on /co
>>151807791Interesting lore. Everything about this whole thing sounds weird as fuck
>>151808064Throw in shades of The Matrix, Twin Peaks, Brazil, Fight Club, and Wizard of Oz.
