As a kid I remember watching the Genndy Wars DVDs in-between II and III, and it bridged them perfectly. Then TCW comes along and is like "No, that wasn't the real story, THIS is the real story".
>>151804870Mr. Lucas respectfully disagreed with you.
>>151804870>and it bridged them perfectly. It never felt like that to me. How they depicted shit was way too exaggerated for me to believe it fit.>Then TCW comes along and is like "No, that wasn't the real story, THIS is the real story".TCW did bridge them perfectly to me when it was all done, er cancelled (not counting season 7 because my mindset then and now is too close). But also yeah, this truly was the case. Genndy just took the basic idea and did whatever he wanted. Meanwhile George had his own ideas and so logically whatever came from him at the time WOULD be the actual story because he is the creator, and at the time, owner of Star Wars.
>>151804906Who cares
>>151804906The back of the DVDs (official from Lucasfilm) said "You'll complete the circle when you add this to your Star Wars collection". That made it feel like a "real" bridge between II and III. Then TCW is like "lolnope".
>>151804870Genndy Wars was retarded DBZ-style fanfiction. Most episodes didn't tell a compelling story, they just had jedi steamroll the Separatist Armies. It's not Star Wars, it's just shonen anime for turd worlders.
>>151805260/co/ used to like Genndy Wars before the pandemic
TCW takes place during the "Anakin kicks ass across the galaxy after getting knighted" montage and much of the show was written to accommodate an audience familiar with Genndy Wars more then any other EU thing.
>>151805260Ok, low-t faggot
>>151804906Who cares what he thinks
>>151805260Genndy wars was pure jedi fanwank with a single Jedi taking out thousands of droids with a wave of their hand. It damaged Star wars more than the sequels did
>>151804870I like both desu, probably have a slight preference towards Genndy Wars since it was first but TCW was a lot of fun too
