Its mostly just pathetic, like the punisher fighting something intractable and abstract like "crime" is fine because there isnt a meaningful end to that, so you can keep goong after complete stories. Having stories where he owns Jeffery Epstein's friends is basically just admitting that you know nothing will actually happen to any of these people.
