The first 2 seasons are genuine absurd masterpieces that just seem backwards and cliche by today’s standards cause of how much other shows took after them. There’s a reason the show was such a cultural phenomenon back in the 90’s, similar to the Simpsons was so big cause there was nothing else like it at the time and it rebelled against the standard sitcom, but by today’s standards, Simpsons-like shows have became the standard sitcom.
