Scalpers took it a step further and started buying all the cards at retail to inflate the price and force their profit. It got so bad Walmart and Target had to enforce limits on how many card packs a customer can buy at once.
You can make ASTRONOMICAL amounts of money getting ahead of fads Almost identical to how shitcoins work. The trick is knowing how to make sure there's a pyramid of copycat scalpers and rubes behind you, and the timing to make sure you're not left a bagholder yourself

Does Jaime R exclusively work as second fiddle animator for MeatyCanyon now?(any time a character's face goes all bulbous and the animation becomes weirdly fluid, that's him). I noticed a few other cases where indie animators I followed for years became nameless additions to some big-name youtuber's animation staff.
