This shit is beyond ridiculous. Is there an actual fucking competition I don't know about among "animators" to produce the ugliest shit imaginable? Is this some new religion? Can we call this "animated brutalism" yet? It seems as if there's some kind of actual horrible post-modern philosophy driving all of this that DEMANDS that everything be as unpleasing to the eye as possible. Is the goal to punish the viewer for watching?I can't stand this new generation of "animators" who seem to have no discernible talent other than inducing retching and dry heaving through their visual output. And of course they're all fucking women.

I worry that the higher ups saw the success of 'Haha you clowns' and assumed all they needed to succeed was ugly artstyles.
Quirkiness for the sake of it does come across as being indignant, I agree. I was talking about this on another thread about zoomers dressing like shit on purpose. It gives a real "rebel without a cause" vibe. Like at a certain point you are just being shitty no longer being the yin to any yang. You are just a yin in a sea of yin
>>151822279The thing I see about HHYC is that the ugly art style is part of the schtick. Joe Cappa's style SAYS something. But all these fucking scribbles with deformed noses are just ugly because their creators are incapable of creating anything beautiful, or even anything non-hideous.
