>>151822796They are self-absorbed and attach their identity to external media. They lack realworld socialization to inform their understanding of morality, ethics, or philosophy, they never learned how to actually live other than vicarious voyeurism. They seek social validation for their tastes but are unaware of how to relate to others. They expect others to automatically agree with their own perspective. It doesn't have to be juvenal cartoons, it could be "mature" normie shows or any other hobby or activity. Same general concept, sheltered oblivious know-it-all.

I think it's related to a lot of the headcanon/"fanon" autism you see in cartoons, people feel insecure/embarrassed about watching what is obviously a kid's show so they come up with all sorts of dumb shit about how there are actually lots of super deep, hidden themes and elements that totally make the kid's show into a property for adults, or worse, they look at something that's obviously meant to be a childish explanation of some real world struggle (an example being the character in Bluey who can't have her own kids) and act like that makes it a show for grown-ups.Don't even get me started on uber-autistic shit like "comfort shows."
>>151822796Lmao this is how your average adventure time faggot looks like>look at how hecking deep this isFuck off manchild

>>151822796MLP was the only thing I heard people make this argument for. I mean I guess you could also count old Tom and Jerries or Looney Tunes that had jokes in it for the adults, but the cultural shift of gay people being socially normal kind of means agknowladging homosexuality by nature does not make media adult oriented. Because I support gay people being gay I don't see a problem with it and currently subscribe to the idea "if straight couples are allowed to be depicted why not gays?" Like parents, you can tell your children gay people exist but there's just not as many of them as the media depicts, but otherwise that doesn't really make shows showing gay people any more or less raunchy or mature than a straight couple. >>151823441See, if it were the Total Drama fart sniffer guy or "the artist's blatently disguised fetish" I would agree, but being gay alone isn't deviant or nsfw by nature. Sure, you could be gay AND talk about wanting to deepthroat dick 24/7, hat would be deviant in the same way a straight guy twlking about trying to suck some big milkers would be too. I always go back to Wally and Gus from Mission Hill as my favorite instance of gay people in a tv show. They show a realistic relationship of a happily married and commited couple in love, who will occasionally talk about how much they are are into each other but not nearly to the degree of hornybrained people. Wally fell in love with Gus physically, his attraction is absolutely a part of the equasion, but again not on an abnormally focused way. Wally or Gus are not walking "I'm here and I'm queer" signs, they are respectful people and members of their community who have identities and sensibilities beyond sexuality.
>>151824734>MLP was the only thing I heard people make this argument for. What?People make this argument constantly for multiple cartoons, the most notable ones being Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball, honestly, a lot of the CN shows had people trying to pretend they were more mature than they really were.
