>>151836157Indeed, those are all better options than what the readers ended up getting.Like, obviously not everything must go right in a story, specially on a drama story like BCB; tragedy and drama go hand in hand after all, but at the same time, pointless cheap drama, characters behaving nonsensically (specially at crucial times), abusing plot convenience, retconning previously established facts and personalities... all these things and more just suck, they just end up making the story frustrating to read.I get trying to extend the story and all, but the way it's been done for years and years in this comic just feels artificial and poorly executed. Besides, the name of the damn comic is 'BitterSWEET candy bowl', but it feels like years since we ever got something truly, genuinely sweet, at least not to a point to balance things out with all the constant bitterness.

She, like Lucy, is largely treated as a black box that exists to cause problems, not a character with motives or agency. I legitimately think Taeshi is sexist, given how she writes. Female characters are mostly passive, and any time they're not it's them being "whores", and male characters are stoic, and any time they're not it's "gay". Daisy gets mocked for being unattractive even on a meta level. Characters lose all rationality and self-control when it comes to sex or love and this is framed as "romantic", even to the point of excusing SA. Also, I could buy some of the characters trick-or-treating, but Mike had already been called immature by Sandy and Paulo's always wanted to be "cool", so them doing it feels out of place.
