Why did disney like him so muchWas he really that marketable
I reckon if cockatoos/macaws could actually formulate thoughts, they'd behave exactly like Iago.
>>151828936Funny asshole voiced by Gilbert Gottfired, you do the math.
How the tf did Jafar get a parrot? Don't they live in South America or something?
>>151828983I don't know about macaws or cockatoos, but african greys can have a real edge. My familys grey is a total suck up to my father but will literally side eye nyone who approaches her. The few times I have given her a biscuit or a chip she will snatch it out of my fingers (yes, I really do mean snatch) and drop it onto the floor before clicking her beak. Everytime I have picked it up and gave it back she has without fail held it and dropped it again while clicking which is the bird equivalent of>I am sharpening my beak because I will kill you if you try to touch meEvery morning she will throw seed out of her cage because she knows my mother will clean it up and she despises her. She literally does the clean it up janny meme with me and my mum, but if my father is in the room she is a totally different animal.
>>151829096Cultural mismatch. There are a lot of parrots in the middle east along with a big historical market for them but south american species weren't in circulation for the longest time.
>>151829096MOST do but all hot climate zones that aren't too barren have species naturally.
>>151829096Iago mentions in the TV series that Jafar traveled the world looking for magical artifacts before settling down in Agrabah. Presumably he came across Iago during his travels.
>>151828936wasn't Robin very against using Genie for marketing and got pissed off when they did use him for marketing? if Genie wasn't an option, what else did they really have except Iago? what, you gonna try to market Abu?
>>151829266>the TV seriesIt's really odd that it's not on Disney + (to the best of my knowledge, I think I checked last year so maybe they added it)
