Is there a webcomic that fell off harder? There were memes, there was hype for the next panels (which actually came out instead of month between mid pages), there was engagement. At this point I barely check every season or so just to see that 2 pages with nothing happening have been released. Feels bad man.
>>151830040If you couldn't tell it was gonna be shit as soon as the lesbian romance was teased then you deserved to get burned.
>>151830040I think part of the issue is more so Abba busy with life and getting too high on his own supply to really come up with an ending that was satisfactory. I don't recall so many wasted pages before in any of the arcs, everything felt relatively brief except for battles between notable characters. I still read, but maybe the way the setting is getting cratered right now feels a bit stupid. This arc is both simultaneously rushed (Allison getting powerful through acceptance rather than training and accepting herself too) with wasted potential (Ivory Devil New Coke lol) while also kind of excessively lengthy, even if I liked worm slut's arc.>>151830236Part of the lesbian romance was pretty kino though, at least it was a very satisfying climax to the situation with a relatively greedy and selfish entity in Cio getting herself killed trying to seflessly defend Allison. It was good, just squandered.
>>151830378>Part of the lesbian romance was pretty kino thoughSure, if you have autogynephilia.
>>151830040Poppy and Paranatural fell harder.
>>151830040I never got into K6BD, but of the ones I read I'd say Paranatural, Poppy, and Ava's Demon.
He hit that shitty tournament arc and I knew it was over. Leaned to hard into shonen nonsense
people got tired of sharing the board with fucking retards, so threads got emptier
>>151830040I still like it
>>151830040I think the I might miss pathetic and annoying allison
>>151830040>Is there a webcomic that fell off harder?Paranatural. It started off very strong but got so weak over time that it unironically is just a Light Novel now. I can think of a bunch of other webcomics that got worse over time, but none that started that good and god that bad without just outright ending. K6BD, for all that the last two arcs have dragged, are nowhere near the dropoff on Paranatural.
>>151830508>>151832145What really happened with Paranatural is that the author stopped paying for astroturfing. That was one of the fakest fandoms I've ever seen.
Has any 2010s webcomic not fallen off horribly? I liked Unsounded, but I haven't read it in nearly half a decade at this point, and that comic has been going since I was a freshman in high school, and I'm almost fucking 30.I feel like comic creators do really need an editor or a team, otherwise they end up taking 20 years to finish their comic, assuming they finish it at all.Speaking of which, is Steve Lichman still going?
>>151832329Unsounded finished a few months ago with a sequel starting in January.
>>151832475Oh shit, nice, I'll have to catch up in that case.
>>151830040it probably flows better if you read it chunks rather than 1 page at a time
>>151830616This, if people's complaints about the comic didn't constantly boil down to "Why aren't the fights like Dragon Ball???" then the threads would be more alive
>>151832329Steve Lichman volume 3 is still being worked on last I heard, but there's no ETA. I think the guys behind that had to focus on other work since the artist had a kid a couple years ago.As for 2010s webcomics that didn't fall off, Out of Placers and Ennui GO! come to mind with staying consistent or improving as time has gone on.
>>151833679Thanks anon, least there is still hope.
>>151832329Giz' webcomics because they aimed for light soap opera and stick to scheduleYou don't need to LIKE them but they don't get stuck or have "well it'll be prose now" arcs and the art stays consistent
>>151832329I can't think of any of comic before or after that developed gracefully
>>151832329depends on your pov
