With all the Sonic threads in the past week let's have a proper one. Consider Sonic Prime. How would you reboot the Sonic franchise? You may search in the archive, there's some pretty good ideas in there especially from the constant fancomic storytiming we've had that beats the dogshit out of Archie/IDW/Flynn.

I'd turn it into Megaman X + Zero. Prime was such a borefest beyond the initial city world.

Keep the same general stories but clean them up, maybe even interconnect them slightly more (2 already does this by having the chaos enemies and Biolizard looking like perfect chaos). The original genesis games still happened but dont need to be remade, they can just acknowledge a version of them happened before.They can just jump off from there, if they are smart they'd do a proper SA3 using whatever engine they use to remake the first 2 and print some money.I also think they either need to fully commit to the ide of interweaving the comics (which would require another restart of them), or drop the comic thing all together.

And the climax was just "and then everything went back to normal", which felt kinda lame after everything that had happened

FOLLOW THE GODDAMN VIDEO GAMES and just MAKE A SPORTS CARTOON ABOUT IT.
