Junkyards and empty lots were a lot more common and out in the open before parents started suing over every little thing that happened to their kids. I remember playing around by railroad tracks, in storm sewers and drainage ditches and other places where a kid could be really hurt or even killed if they were very unlucky. Now kids are barely allowed outside without a helicopter parent watching them.
