Why is the line so good? Exactly how many heroes will they explore if the momentum continues? Could we get animated movies? Games?
It's good overall but some books are better than others'Honestly, Snyder being influenced by stuff his kids like probably helped
>>151847847It’s not. And they killed Oliver so it’s already not interesting to me
So maybe a dumb question but how does Bruce glide with this 4 wing cape setup?>>151848116Okay
>>151848116I love this modern “I don’t like thing so no one else does either” mindset where people can just make up their own reality and believe in it so firmly. It’s almost like the matrix
>>151847847Shits hard on it's own "no cash, no help" premise by issue 2 with the colossal bat truck and intelligence network, but it's a fun read so far
Alright alright what's the catch?Variants?Netflix ruins everything post-buyout?
>>151848268It's Alfred's intelligence network, not Bruce's. And he's way more analog/blunt than mainline Bruce
>>151848134Nobody said that at all. The absolute line is just as garbage as the main line. The fact that you shovel it up and act like anyone who disagrees must be wrong says more about you than anything
>>151848134it works both ways, pal
>>151848134At the start of Tom King's run on Wonder Woman you'd see the same kind of defense that only haters didn't like it and the majority surely isn't wrong, yet here we are with everyone now shitting on it
>>151847847Would pay cash to see the bane arc animated. Would also pay for an Abs Womdie toy or figure.
>>151848406NTA but your comparison is fucking laughable. No one liked Tom's Wonder Woman, and it never did nowhere near these numbers or word of mouth
>>151847847yeah its supercool if youre 12 but nobody whos 12 buys comics anymore. i should be the last person to say this but "grow the fuck up"
>>151847847I only read Batman and half of wonder woman.I couldn't finish a single issue of Flag, Superman or Martian Manhunter
>>151848609and do what? watch cop shows or streaming crime dramas that are all written on a 7th grade level? Most media is fucking stupid. Even highly praised dramas are written so a dummy can understand it.The only truly mature media is like a few hundred books and movies, most made over 25 years ago.
>>151848643why the fuck are you asking me what you should do with your time?you zoomers always need some kind of guiding hand
>>151848609Just take the pity (You) already. It's Christmas anon, and you still choose to be like this
>>151848697you can keep your gay little pity but merry christmas eve to you aswell anon xoxo
Does Absolute Batman have a grapple gun? I cant recall him using one
>>151847847>Why is the line so good? It really isn't tho
>>151847847It isn’t. Only Martian Manhunter is good and only for the art. Batman is serviceable at best. All the rest are genuinely awful
>>151848880It probably couldn't hold him.
>>151848304If AbsBat 15 is at 300K that tells you Batman makes up 60 percent of the sales if not more. 300K times 15 (and the first issue is much higher) gets you to 50 percent of all the absolute line’s sales.Honestly 8 million over ~50 issues across all titles isnt that good. Especially if you remove Batman that leaves you with 4.6 for ~35 issues. It’s a success but a meager one rather than an explosive one
For anyone who doesn't like the Absolute line, what modern DC comics are you currently reading?
>>151849617Only dark patterns until that ended and Batman and robin year one until that ended. The rest of the monthly output is awful.Until straight kid Jon Kent is brought back from space and gay teen Jon Kent is sent off to the future with the legion I hope they go out of business.
>>151849636>Until straight kid Jon Kent is brought back from space and gay teen Jon Kent is sent off to the future with the legion I hope they go out of business.based
How do Dick Grayson fans feel about being skipped over and Jason will be the Robin in this universe? It is going to happen.
>>151847847>Why is the line so good?It isn't.
>>151848134It's not a modern thing, I've seen that kind of attitude as far back as the 00s on this board so it likely existed before that, too
>>151848304They do variants and incentive variants, but the difference is that there is an actual demand that leads them to do multiple printings, as in more than just a second printing. That usually means there's a genuine interest from readers and not just from the collectors/speculators. For instance Absolute Wonder Woman #1 went into 6 printings. New 52 Wonder Woman and Tom King's Wonder Woman only managed to get a second printing.
