Genndy was having a hard time coming up with good ideas but in retrospect it shouldn't have been that hard. Period Piece ideas are "close your eyes, throw the dart and see where it lands" levels of difficulty. But I think the truth was that Genndy had fantasy and supernatural on his mind and starting on a clean slate conflicted with the subconscious idea of wanting to do more fantasy and supernatural

Why do people shit on S2 so much again? Except for some choppy animation, slow points with the vikangs and kween and the whole primal theory episode, it wasn't that bad.

>>151849607I think it's cause it got more serialised compared to the first seasons more episodic format which had a nice appeal for presenting unique concepts or threats and the ending even if didn't mind it was contentious. I kinda liked seeing the contrast of our leads being primitive yet also more moral then these violent civilised armies, Kamau was a cool character and I liked that they didn't shy away from Spear having to be forced to kill the viking woman or kids despite how he clearly didn't want to even as they attacked him.
