I know a lot of people had problems with it, but I thought it was great.Even if you disagree about DevilArtemis leaving, given the power gap between DevilArtemis and Torrian it makes sense for Kratos vs Asura to have little quality. It also put Dante vs Clive in some kind of a mentor or elder role to Kratos vs Asura, and let Dante vs Clive show how far he had come by defeating someone who had been down the same path as him. He wasn't just criticizing Kratos vs Asura, he was TEACHING DevilArtemis. And I think that's very heartwarming in a way. That Dante vs Clive would take the lessons he learned and help someone who was just like him.If this weren't a Death Battle I'm sure they would have ended cordially and taught each other well. The Reddit reaction is weird, even if heartwarming in its own way. It was nice to see DevilArtemis get lots of upvotes on Plebbit, but it feels weird to see Reddit start sucking him off.I haven't watched DevilArtemis's TFS work though (but after watching this fight I think I might read a TVTropes page!) so I might be missing stuff but as a big Death Battle fan I thought they did DevilArtemis justice and from what I saw they treated Kratos vs Asura with the utmost respect. What episode has ever gotten the community to do a 180 on it just for them?
