Her frustrations with his rejections, fears of him turning on her and calls for God to release her from the longing all sound more like pent up desperation than love.I think the likely end for them is for her to meet a few other guys like him, not necessarily get involved with them but just see they're around and available, but have girls they're not even dating all act like she does with Derek and Kim, eventually realizing the needless friction she's caused, apologizing and asking to be friends with them instead of side-chick and rival, knowing she will find her own Derek elsewhere and make a better first impression if she shapes up.An amusing last page twist would be her finding her Derek before becoming the Derek to a rule63 Serenity, now feeling obligated to try to remain close with both until she can sort out what neither understands, but knowing how much of a headache it will be for all of them.
