They make a good point, why do the most annoying people congregate around indie animation?
Damn bro
Because indie is the only scene actually making new (not even groundbreaking just new) unchained stuff that kids actually enjoy. Ergo all their fans are children ergo they're all literally annoying children who don't have fathers to tard wrangle them.
>>151883225They have a rebel complex and desperately want to feel like some secret club
>>151883225Almost everything coming out from major studios is a shitty rehash of an old property that kids don't give a fuck about so they're gravitating towards indie stuff like this since it's at least something new. Yes I'm strongly implying that a lot of the people that post about these things on 4chan are underage, I feel like that should be patently obvious if you've ever tried to visit the threads about them.
>>151883339I tried to read one of their threads a while back to see what all the fuss was about and I was astounded by how blatantly underage the anons there were.
>Digital Circus>"Indie"
>>151883225internet losers see content creators as their peers and buddies, they see their success as their own and build their personality around it.same reason some people want to be considered furries despite not being in the fandom
>>151883225>>151883319>>151883405>>151883580>seething industry cuckskek
>>151883273>>151883339A stereotype I've learned to be patently true is that online fandoms are great at gaslighting themselves into thinking they're some kinda target audience and that kids aren't occupying the same spaces as them.Like, say what you want about clips from kids shows auto disabling the comments but anyone old enough to remember when they were turned on remembers why. It wasn't even that people were primarily worried about predatory interactions that story came in when ElsaGate pushed everything to a boiling point. Before that it was mortified parents seeing their kids watching clips from their favorite shows on Youtube and then the comments would be flooded with sexual jokes about the characters or comparisons between scenes and real life attrocities. Jokes for adults that were meant to fly over kids heads being blatantly explained in the comments. All this other stuff which just shows that a lot of people in fandoms legit forgot that kids would be looking at those same clips
>>151883225Teenagers are obnoxious and the western indie scene currently holds a monopoly on that demographic.
>>151883630>Look at Its a Wonderful Life clip>Scroll down to comments>NIGGER NIGGER NIGGERx20
>>151883608you got a bit too ahead of yourself and replied to the wrong people bit its ok
>>151883273>all their fans are children ergo they're all literally annoying children who don't have fathers to tard wrangle them.Or they're mentally unstable degenerates, The Ultrakill fandom is a good example of this.
>>151883225Because the studios deliveretaly take left turns around things that obsessive fans like.Highest profile example is judy and nick being romantic in zootopia. If zootopia were an indie cartoon theyd be together. The studio wont allow it for its own reasons. Indie animators are themselves obsessive fans who want to see a real animated festure do <the thing they like>.It also seems like the <thing> is or orbits a sexual fetish too.
>>151883225This seems harmless to me. I don't get what's upsetting about this. Also, Fall guys ftw.
>>151883225Is this person really sure indie fandoms are the most annoying fandoms? I don't think any indie fandoms has some done anything as weird as sonic fans, are as hated as wehrboos or cause as much ethical debate about their medium as weebs.
>>151883225>DURRRR WHY DO KIDS LIKE EDGY CONTENT???!?!>DURR WHY DO GROOMERS MAKE VIDEOS ABOUT EDGY CONTENT IN ORDER TO LURE KIDS?!?!?Man, no clue. Really got me stumped here...
Before the internet annoying fans couldnt leave comments on things. 1 in 100 people engaging in a thing would meet 1 of these people once. Now all 1 million people, around the world, who'll speak this way about these types of things leave 1 comment and its like >BIZOW LOOK AT ALL THESE WEIRDOS! BLUEY FANS ARE NUUUUTS OH SHIT EVERYONE WHO LIKES BEETLEJUICE IS A PEDOPHILE! EEGAD MAN THE SONIC FANDOM IS A DEN OF AUTISM!Its because so-called normal people arent leaving comments. They dont care enough about the thing. They arent "fanatic". They arent fanatics.
>>151883774>le ebik strawmanTeenager go away
>>151883225every single one of these characters has a discord or VRchat server full of kids and adults who talk to them unfiltered and unmonitored
>>151883789Every single in person interaction those same kids have is unmonitered and unmoderated.
>>151883677Cope
>>151883580>some people want to be considered furries despite not being in the fandomI've never heard of this, care to elaborate?
>>151883787Not a word of falsehood was spoken
>>151883225>twitter user tries not to be the most joyless, bitter, liberal establishment bootlicker challenge: FAILED
>>151883273>>151883339These basically, it's a big part of why multiple entertainment industries are struggling right now. Shit even older audiences are tired of these endless reboots, remakes, and sequels, meanwhile kids have no attachment to the original IPs and so see them as just low-quality schlock. I don't think most indie cartoons are that great but shit man at least they're original. So yeah, young people naturally flock to them and of course they act like retards, they're kids and teenagers.
>>151883225These cringe indie cartoons have both more value and soul than whatever garbage the industry has been putting out lately.
>>151884026>liberalGlitchbro… you do know the people behind your shows are trans leftists. Right?
>>151884106>The industry is getting out skilled by pennyless trannies.Embarrassing
>>151884106>chickens can't eat eachother, that's cannibalism. Don't they know that?
>>151884139Yet there is still no great rightwing indie works. Curious.
>>151883225There's no barrier to entry. Even the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel retards who aren't smart enough to pirate a movie can watch free stuff on Youtube (probably with ads because they aren't smart enough to understand adblockers either).
>>151883630>A stereotype I've learned to be patently true is that online fandoms are great at gaslighting themselves into thinking they're some kinda target audience and that kids aren't occupying the same spaces as them.A few months ago I started working at a school district as one of their "technology specialists" - basically a catch-all term for being one of three guys in charge of every IT need the school may have. Because it's a school district, the main network uses a content blocker that flags inappropriate websites and videos, as well as allowing us to monitor what the students are viewing in case we need to add an exception to the blocker or vice-versa.I say all of this because I occasionally look into what kids these days are looking up for a lark, and the majority of non-school related searches and videos are primarily about shows that are supposedly "not" for kids - there are quite a bit of junior high/high schoolers watching TADC and Hazbin, as well as trying to access chatbots of the characters (primarily Angel Dust, honestly) and reading AO3 fanfiction of the characters. This is why I can never take anyone who says "only adults watch this show!" seriously, because I have concrete evidence that kids obsess over it just as much as adults do.
>>151884028It's also hyperfocused on financing itself through a small minority of people who will consume as much merchandise as humanly possible and I'm not just talking about the indie sector. When I was a kid, the big franchise on top of the world was Halo, yet looking back. Even with the big mountain dew deal and the uptick in merchandise when 3 came out, Halo still never had anywhere near the merchandise of something like FNAF or even something like Adventure Time at this point.Hell, relative to size of the IP? I'm pretty sure a lot of these things have an amount of merchandise that would make Star Wars blush. Pokemon was so big because it was designed to push merchandise to kids who would annoy their parents for it, but if kids aren't buying a lot of this stuff? I'm pretty sure we're in the midst of watching a 'geek economy' Beanie Baby market scheme even beyond the obvious stuff like Funko.
>Twitter screencap award>forced engagement award>had this argument a thousand times awardWhy bother posting if you have nothing to say?
>>151884205Something about Angel being the predominant one is kinda fucking disturbing. Like, a generational brat taming fetish is not what we needPlease tell me they're sticking to Character AI, the site or app they're using is heavily indicative of what they are doing with those bots.
>>151883630>>151884205I don't even understand how this mentality can possibly exist in an age where almost every adult online grew up sneaking episodes of Adult Swim shows, South Park, and if they're old enough stuff like Beavis and Butthead.
>>151884321>Please tell me they're sticking to Character AI, the site or app they're using is heavily indicative of what they are doing with those bots. The one I see the most are Character.ai, Janitor.ai and something called "Polybuzz", which is one I've never heard of before.
>>151883580Nobody with a functioning brain wants to be a furry.
>>151883225Rational people wouldn't go into an industry that is awful at the best, richest times and cruel and impossible most of the time. So it's by default all crazy people supported by either their parents or some wallet thinking with its mediocre dick, which makes it even worseThere are exceptions, but they rare
it's childrenwhen they talk about fandoms etc being extremely annoying they're talking about childrenat least 98% of people are that, because the rest is just creators and artists themselves and small amount of autistic neckbeards who have no business being obsessed with kids cartoons and games
>>151883225>most annoying (aka autistic) fanbases form around indie gamesI have not seen a single chris chan incident outside of any indie projectso yeah no
>>151883273SPBP (plus they do things TV shows can't do)
>>151883273>>151883339Yeah I feel like this is extremely fucking obvious if you go into threads for stuff like TADC, Hazbin/Helluva, or even vidya stuff like Deltarune. They have a very particular way of posting that's pretty obvious to tell because it probably looks roughly like how you typed as a kid/teenager.
>>151883225Because fags know that their online discourse can affect the product.Bigger industry and companies tend to ignore them and only ''''''listen'''''' once in a blue moon.
>>151884383Anon, those kids are sexting with those fucking clankers, trust me.>>151884321That generation is fucked beyond belief, I'd be surprised if it's just that.
It's because the American cartoon fandom and the western indie game fandom are pretty much entirely the same people. It's less an indie thing and more just that most of the cartoon audience is annoying children, annoying teenagers, and annoying man/womanchild autists.
>>151884383>JanitorAO3 type toxic shit>PolyBuzzPure fucking erotic roleplay, that one infamously flooded youtube ads about how uncensored it is and how "horny" the bots are.
>>151884334I am going to be completely honest with you. We're also the same group who learned how to bypass parental controls by starting the computer up in administrator mode.We (rightfully) pointed out that kids will just cheat the digital ID systems pointed out but fall back on this idea that they somehow won't figure out how to plug a phone or tablet into a computer and jailbreak it to bypass whatever their parents set up.People online seem to alternate between viewing kids as innocent angels and chaotic scheming gremlins depending entirely on what's convenient at any given moment.

>>151883630Parent think all cartoons are the shit. The Simpsons and Frizt The Cat are in the same category of Bluey. And because this you are forced to show video recordings of your face for social media. Parenting is trash, we know, but asking IDs in everything cant fix bad parenting.
>>151886535See and that's sorta my point. I've heard the argument that the current generation are more tech illiterate so they shouldn't be able to bypass as well, but it wasn't really our computer classes that taught us the tech. We knew how to access the program files to mod our steam games. We learned to extract a .zip or .rar file because we wanted to play MUGEN or whatever game we downloaded. We used a proxy site to bypass firewalls, we sent the computer into debug mode and gave ourselves administrative privileges when our parents weren't looking. We were only so tech literate because we became that way while being sneaky and the flaw with digital IDs is the same reason we need to stop pretending digital IDs work.Kids literally got around youtube's trigger by exploiting a loophole where pre-existing accounts would be scanned to determine their age, so what did they do? They created an entire playlist of videos about back pain, financial advice, and other stuff only adults would be interested in and then played it in the background before the deadline. They're literally figuring out what triggers the content filters and figuring out how to bypass in advanceThat basically proves they're already figuring out how to game this the same way we did.

And half of the replies would be theyfabs and anime pfp troons gloating about the writers shitting on ships they hate.

>>151883339>Yes I'm strongly implying that a lot of the people that post about these things on 4chan are underage, I feel like that should be patently obvious if you've ever tried to visit the threads about them.I seen the dandy's world threads in /v/ and this isn't the case, at least not for all of them. From what I have seen, most of those anons are either late 20s or in their 30s and even nearing 40s playing a game popular with alpha kids because the characters are cute. Rolling with that line of thought I can say it can also happen with other indie stuff getting 4chan threads. So essentially it's either underage posters or autistic men lusting or discussing it, which is on par in a hypothetical regular 4chan userbase which isn't filled with bots or shitposters.
Because it's free media or in the case of mascot horror, easily available and pushed by the algorithm. Basically capturing a demographic not quite old enough to not be as susceptible but not so young that they skip it over for attention melting brainrot content.
