So, if this season's theme was community, then I suspect the next season's theme, if it even gets made, will revolve around the concept of family or even parenthood.I think they've done a good job foreshadowing this throughout season 2 with the ongoing conflict between Marshall Lee and his mother, the Hunson Abadeer after-credit stinger, Huntress Wizard's origin story with her adoptive parents, and Finn's mother worrying about his future and not wanting him to waste it while probably wanting grandkids.There's also the matter of the Farmworld family and specifically the ginger haired kid, the one who is explicitly designed to evoke a Finntress kid, the only one without an Ooo counterpart, and the one who recognized HW as his mom and wanted her back so they could all be a family again.I'm not sure how it'll all tie together but all these disparate threads make me think that the next season will try to touch on family as an overarching concept. Hunson appearing all but guarantees the next season will revolve around Marceline teaming up with Fionna, probably to help save Marshall from whatever scheme Hunson is cooking up, but I'm sure there's still room for a B-plot in there somewhere for Finn and HW if they wanted to touch on them again.
