/co/ opinion on The Eternaut? Sci-fi Story about a group of friends surviving in Buenos Aires after a mysterious deadly snow that kills on contact falls on the city.
>>151895754it's great, bummer ending tough hoped there was more
>>151895773I mean, there is part 2 and some of 3. But it has mixed opinions and people argue to this day if they were or not written by the same author. (He was being chased by the military dictatorship at the time, long story)
>>151895943hmm? the collection I bought ended with him stealing an UFO, is there more?
>>151895943and yeah, doesn't look like the same author, someone flying with wing suit seems too offkilter to the original
>>151896028>>151896028Yeah, there is way more, and i personally am still mixed abour it. It is more fantastical and political focused than part 1 but to me part 2 is also a decent read. Im pretty sure there are official translations of part 2, i cannot assure you cause i read the spanish original.

why did it take so long to have an adaptation
>>151896028Yes. Oesterheld made Eternauta 2 which was a propaganda book for the terrorist guerrillas disguised as a comic book. Then he tried remaking the original Eternauta run with more of the same. He dind't get to finish that iirc, he was kidnapped by the dictatorship
>>151897176Family holds to the IP tighly.
>>151895754It's great until the end, which feels rushed.
>>151897243Better that than giving the IP willy nilly for cash and ruining it completly. Family respects the legacy of the work.
