I genuinely wish furries NEVER existed. They ruined everything for the people who just like drawing cartoon animals. When my stuff gets called "furry" I get so unbelievably discouraged. The label takes away all meaning from my art , because most furry art is meaningless eye candy, or really gross NSFW shit. some person sent me furry art the other day which makes me think that they think I'm a furry who's into this shit. NO!! I hate furries man I just wanna be a cartoonist! But it feels like I'll never be one as long as I draw cartoon animals. No I do not want to draw humans, I have never been interested in drawing humans. But I feel like I'll have to force myself to in order to get away from the nasty ass furry community.

But all the sex stuff reminded me that we're a sexually dimorphic species and I got the wrong side of a 50/50 chance. The fact that half the furry men are drawn like women to make them more attractive just made it worse.I'm not saying that's what's happening with you. That seems unlikely. But ultimately, you shouldn't care that much whether or not people think you're a furry or whether furries like your work. Some furries are jerks, some furries are good people, and most people don't really care whether or not someone's a furry in 2025. (Also, you can usually tell whether someone's a non-furry cartoonist or a furry based on their art style, so if you're really committed to the bit just reference non-furry artists a lot.)
