If Toon Disney performed better than it's competition, Nicktoons and Boomerang in the USA, why did it shut down while Nicktoons and Boomerang kept on going?

Presumably they thought rebranding it into a boy-aimed counterpart to the main Disney channel would get more viewers. Although I think that point was long lost.

Nicktoons was kept alive for Nickelodeons dumping ground. Now it's a meaningless 24/7 Spongebob channel.

But pretty much 70% of the schedule was back to back Avatar.Dragonball channel was more interesting since Nickelodeon had the license to play Dragonball Z Kai, when that got popular they started playing all the Dragonball Z movies. Then the Dragonball ones, then they played Dragonball, then GT. That took up most of their timeslots.
