Is Spider-Man more fun to read than Batman?
>>
>>151902183
Depends on the date of publication
>>
>>151902183
Spider-Man doesn't have a sidekick.
>>
>>151902183
Spider-Man is consistently a solid 7-8 out of 10 with a few bumps in quality up till the clone saga where afterwards shit starts to seesaw wildly but mainly with a downward trend.
Batman has a lot more ups and down through his history in that their are higher highs but lower lows but overall both of them wouldn't of lasted this long without a high level of consistent quality.

I honestly think that some of his best runs don't get enough recognition. Like, maybe two or three are always mentioned, but only when talking about the best runs of all time. The other ones are forgotten in a general context and only remembered when talking about Spider-Man
>but mainly with a downward trend.
This is true specifically for ASM, because during the 00s he still had some good books/stories. But since maybe the early 2010s that's no longer the case

No, in general Batman is more fun
>>
>>151902183
Not since 2007, certainly.
>>

To be fair neither the Batman or Tec ongoings have been good since like 2009
>>
>>151903984
There have still been more good Batman stories since 2007 than good Spider-Man stories in the same time period.
>>
>>151903324
And that's a good thing

Kind of agree. I really like Spider-Man back in the 90's and early 00's, particularly the Ultimate Spider-Man, but more recent Spider-Man stories don't seem quite as interesting while I think Batman has pretty solid recent stories. Back in the early 00's I would've said Spider-Man, a few years ago Batman, but right now I don't think either is particularly good.

Yeah. People will tell you than Batman still has some good ones. But if you enjoy the old runs then that makes no sense, they're extremely different, in a negative way
>>
>>151902183
Batman since DC doesn’t hate Batman as much as Marvel hates Spider-man
>>
>>151902183
My impression is Batman is generally more fun to read since Spider-Man gets dragged down by his civilian life. I don't care Peter Parker, his education, his relationships, I care about Spider-Man.
>>
>>151902183
both are a fucking chore right now
>>
>>151902183
No. Spider-Man is pretty boring compared to Batman.
