You could when tell Tim Sale, for instance, hit the point in their partnership where he was willing to tell Loeb to shut the fuck up and let him show what was happening without narration or dialogue and that made their books better

Lee has never seemed to have that ability, maybe as a consequence of breaking in with Claremont
