With the interdimensional phone destroyed it seems like HW is their best bet at communicating with Fionna's world as she can access the Undergrowth where Cake is staying with Karmic Worm who can then get in contact with Fionna, and vice versa I assume. I think Marshall Lee is going to get taken by Hunson and Fionna, through Cake, is going to ask Huntress for help who will relay the message to Marceline.

So, I just binge-watched both Season 1 and 2 of Fionna and Cake (actually had a fun time) and I have come to the conclusion that this interview that people keep posting and complaining about where the authors say they wanted a boring Slice-of-Life for season 2, but then felt "obligated" to introduce some plot with Huntress Wizard too was just them making what they thought was an obvious joke but the fandom took it way seriously.Like, really, I encourage anyone who think Huntress Wizard was just an after thought for the writing of season 2 to actually rewatch even just episode 2 of season 1. There is basically no reason for this episode to exist outside of setting up the arc of huntress Wizard for season 2. It's the entire reason of its existence.They had a season 2 with Huntress wizard planed already while they were only writing season 1.If you doubt it, just rewatch season 1 episode 2 again.
