Between some of Tim's expressions and the way they cut off his eyes in some panels, these last couple of comics really had their fingers on the "ugly bastard" pulse with him.

Serenity came into town and instantly decided she wanted to fuck her boyfriend nad then she wrecked her car not long after, but after that Kimberly is a bitch just to be a bitch. I don't think she ever has a positive moment with anyone in the cast.

While most people come in initially just to laugh at a pretty sucky comic, I think that there's a fair share of us who resonate with Serenity's quest to find meaning, whether we personally believe or not. I really think that Buzz Dixon had the best intentions while writing the comic (despite some pretty big missteps), and he put more thought into it than many give him credit. Bonus next

Seeing how she bounces off others is always fun and it's nice seeing the main character actually be proactive in their efforts to be shithead and ruin their own life rather than just sitting around waiting for bad things to happen for once. The prayer group while not as strong still had some interesting hooks that if they followed through with would have made them excellent foils to Serenity instead of just being mostly nothing characters. Which leads me to my biggest issue:The heavy handed Christian soapboxxing taking precedence over everything else. It's a Christian story it's to be expected and it's not necessarily a bad thing, but with each passing chapter it felt like there was less and less natural discussion and more of them just stating what they believe is right. Early on we had the teens debating the Bible and they also had issues being good Christians themselves, but as the chapters go on they all kind of developed uniform opinions on specific topics and there ended up being way less push and pull when it comes to doing the right thing for them. This was probably always going to be the end goal it just feels like they just blitzed past all the needed build up to make everything fall in place and really sell it to you.Also having constant movie side stories completely unrelated to Serenity's character all while the main cast surrounding her are still woefully undeveloped was definitely a bad call. Like instead of elaborating on Eddie getting molested or we get another movie plot that doesn't tie into the stories main themes too well.Serenity definitely had potential. Unfortunately, it felt like they were rushed and forced to pull their punches a little too much which really hindered their chance to tell a truly compelling story.
