That question seems a little advanced for grade school homework tbqh.
>>151916066>Looking at a map is too advancedlmao. This ain't even a math question, it's just 'what town is between New York and Chicago.
>>151916066>Get fairly detailed map of the US>Get ruler>Find the midpointI think you're just stupid tbqhsmhpbqtmzwxyz
Audrey is mad as fuck in the first panel
>>151916066education standards in the 50s were a lot higher
These questions always pissed me off cuz I can't do math for shitWho gives a shit? Why does it matter where they intersect? If I'm on either of the trains my destination is what matters, not when I'll pass another train
SEX WITH LITTLE AUDREY
>>151917370Well this isn't a "math" question as other pointed out.See how the coursebook doesn't say "Math" on it?
>>151917370It's a test to see if you can use basic intuition to realize that this isn't a math question. No numbers are given. It's a question about figuring out the midpoint between two cities worded in a way that's meant to teach you how to intuit simple solutions to problems that sound more complex than they are.
>>151916108Maybe Erie PA.
>>151916066>By AI BuckCommercial AI existed back then?
>>151916066Imagine her learning sex ed
>>151917617I'd say Youngstown OH
>>151916093>>151916108>>151917554What if you're not allowed to look at a map
>>151916066Given that this is in 1951, it could've been Erie, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Youngstown, OH; or, most likely, none at all since the trains could easily take different routes depending on the company and weather conditions. Keepin mind none of those towns were shitholes back then, so there would've been plenty of traffic through all of them.

>>151917554>but the railroad tracks aren't perfectly straight>one train might cover 100 miles in a straight line in the same time the other train only covers 50 due to terrain and track curvature>do trains travelling on the New York to Chicago route actually pass through that city?/co/ is too autistic for a question like this, but apparently so is Audrey so we're in good cunpany.
>>151917554related: those math questions that include a bunch of numbers that are useless to the question it's actually asking, teaching you to figure out which numbers you actually need
