What am I in for?

superman

A solid 7/10 film.
A good time with some great highlights.
>>
>>151916088
A terrific time.

If you like Gunn's other movies you'll like this one. I think Peacemaker is a bit better overall but Superman is still really really good

It's definitely not perfect but I thought it did an admirable job keeping true to the core to the character after decades of misfires.

Eh, my main problem with Peacemaker is season 2 wasted way too much time spinning its wheels when season 1 was pretty straightforward.
>>
>>151916621
I haven't seen Season 2 but I loved Season 1

I still liked it but man did it end up disappointing me with all the filler. So much potential just squandered.

I feel like enough time has passed where I can say it's pretty terrific
Hard to explain but it captures the fun of comic books where wacky shit just shows up you know?
Probably one of my all time capeshit films favorites
>>
Rules. I hate how long we have to wait for Supergirl, I haven't been this invested in capeshit cinematic universe stuff in a hot minute. It's finally turning a lot of people around on Superman who used to dismiss him

>it captures the fun of comic books where wacky shit just shows up you know?
If you like this version of it then yes, it does feel like a comic book come to life. I just still struggle with the suit and S, though. If they had kept the traditional neckline and S, then I could have more easily gotten into this as a lighthearted, turn your brain off, comic silliness movie.

An actual comic book movie

It's great, but you'll probably cry if you have daddy issues.

>What am I in for?
A reminder of how much better the previous movie was.
>>
>>151916088
It made me dislike comic books even more. It's by far the best “adaptation” of the comic books, but the content is something that everyone here would have dismissed as garbage. None of the hyped scenes are good, and the movie also looks deserted, like it was made during COVID. IDK, despite that, it's one of the best Superman movies.

>the previous movie was.
Justice League? I think not.
>"No I meant Man of Ste--"
That was three movies ago, grandpa.
>>
>>151918116
Man of Steel was ass. You can have a good Superman movie if you screw up the Els but it's impossible if you do it to the Kents which is what happened with that movie.

Or if you love your family
