>Well I'll just have to find another little girl to be president. What's your friend Janie's number?

Was Washington really this much of a bitch in real life?
>>
>>151916669
from what i recall, washington was a cunt to alot of people and was disliked
>>
>>151916669
All I knew he didn't like Jefferson and Hamilton going at it 24/7, and would have retired like his buddies did after the war.

He was considered insanely charismatic and everyone that met him was floored at his demeanor. Someone posted this giant post about what a hyperchad he was on here like a year ago, it was crazy to read. Like his own enemies were writing shit like "Washington's basically the greatest man to ever live, I'd let him fuck my sister".

I genuinely don't know where you heard that, every account I've heard is that he was extremely beloved.
>>
>>151916794
We should've made him King

>Washington's basically the greatest man to ever live
George III literally said that when he heard Washington rejected a crown. And that was George III before he went completely insane so that actually means something.
>>
>>151916794
That is so fucking badass.
>>
>>151916882
i might be thinking of another founding father.
>>
>>151916794
I remember hearing a story about how during the revolution he traveled through some Indian territory and some old chief asked for a meeting. He was close to death and said he wanted to meet him before he died. So George goes in and asks what’s up and the chief says “I remember seeing you years ago during the war (French and Indian War). I sent over seventy men to kill you while you were running messages for the British. These were top sharpshooters that could kill a squirrel off a tree from 100 yards and get all of them missed, how the fuck did you do that” and he just sort of shrugged.

Washington is one of the greatest men to ever lead. The dude was such a fucking symbol of humility and strength that it took until fucking Teddy Roosevelt before a person attempted to seek more than two terms and scorn Washington's example of leadership.
>>
>>151917128
yeah as i said i might be thinking of someone else, i wouldnt take my comment as factually sound
>>
>>151916685
You're thinking of Jefferson. He was kind of autistic. Same with Hamilton and even Madison had a habit of a butthurt streak when people made fun of him.
The founding fathers were basically 50/50 gigachad and autismo.
>>
>>151917096
Hamilton, who by all accounts was a weaselly, power-hungry little fuck. The musical is, ironically, a white-wash of him.
>>
>>151917125
Okay so this does need to be disspelled because while Washington was a great leader through charisma, he was far from the best general in terms of leading the soldiers.
Washington's true strength as a leader was not his ability to lead his troops to victory but rather to keep them moving through defeat long enough for victory to happen.
This sense of fraternity and loyalty to those under him and his people was so legendary that 20 years later, Napoleon would start LARPing as him, trying to pose like him in basically every portrait while portraying him as France's own "man of the people"
>>
>>151917249
Washington also knew how to bow out of fights he knew he didn't have a good shot at. He lost a lot of battles but they were all very calculated retreats designed to preserve his men and their morale as best as possible. I feel like he gets undue flack for that, considering he was running a ragtag militia against a highly professional army it was the smart thing to do.

That's why they got shit done. You need both. Try to get by with only chads or only autists and everything goes to shit. This applies to everything as well, to put it in /co/ terms it's why you need a Stan or a Big Jim.

And he did it all while in constant screaming pain from his dentures

I thought Lisa didn't have any friends

>he was running a ragtag militia
Washington, and a lot of Revolutionary War generals on both sides, held exceptionally low opinions of militias due to their lack of discipline, poor capability, problems following orders, and unwillingness to commit to campaigning. Washington led an actually army.

then you didn't watch the show

I know his teeth were really weird..
