I’ve watched meetings where someone pitches something and another person goes “oh yeah, I saw that online.” >There’s also a lot of stuff that’s actually good that gets killed quietly.>There are writers who straight up hate the comics the films are adaptions of and think fans are stupid for caring about accuracy. >Shipbaiting is 100% intentional, so is anti-ship repellant. They track engagement. They know exactly what they’re doing.
