I used to watch his atrocity videos back then and actually agree, but obviously that was silly. But I can't lie, its a guilty pleasure to rewatch them, he's VERY passionate and I end up getting chuckles from his criticisms and jabs.

Gary, a literal snail who acts like a pet, getting mauled and ignored after, is not fun 'cause how undeserving that is. Even a kid will feel bad by that, something i know by experience. Context matters. TTG Robin is usually an annoying prick, so he getting tortured might be fun. But they usually set up something so Robin's demise feels karmic.
