I always thought in loony tunes the name was different. Instead of the real world meaning "A Company that Makes Exelence" it was "A company that Makes Everything" the joke being ACME makes every dumb fucking thing you can think off and it's almost a mystery why a company would still be making giant catapults, jet packs and fake bird seed.
