I say that as someone who used to love 3 because the nostalgia gutpunch was specifically designed for me.
But after rewatching 3 while revisiting Pixar's catalog, I realized that there's an entire rest of the movie and it's mostly cheap filler that no one remembers. 4 at least has an interesting storyline even if it fumbles at times.
1 is a timeless masterpiece and pretty much perfect. 2 is decent but a major downgrade from 1, far too sanitized with a more generic style of referential comedy.

My major reason for not liking 4 is how it bastardizes the characters far beyond what 3 ever did. Especially Woody. The ending of 4 (and honestly Woody's entire arc in 4) completely spits in the face of absolutely everything Woody stood for through the entire trilogy and retroactively made both Pete and Lotso 100% correct.
Also Forky is not a fun character nor is the new Bo Peep.
