We have another hero appear named Iron Lad. We grow to genuinely like the guy, but tragically.......this person is destined to grow up to be Kang The Conqueror.
Nah. They rarely have multi-movie things pay off well. Also it looks weird when there isn't a whole group of "cosplay" looking people to hide among.

>>151934807I do like that too.And I do like the idea that Iron Lad, in his own sad way, REMAINS their friend even while trying to kill them.He has no choice but to live out his destiny as a villain, due to the universe blowing up if he doesn't. Thus he is constantly trying to thread that needle.

It establishes a different kind of connection between the villain and the heroes.Unlike Thanos, Kang was one of THEM. He was in The Avengers, and only fate stopped him from being a hero forever. He doesn't even WANT to hurt them, he simply has no choice.
