Lots of conflicting leaks going around, so I compiled all the generally believed to be reliable ones.>The plot revolves around an impeding incursion between the Avengers’ universe and the X-Men’s universe, which would destroy both unless one is destroyed first.>Doctor Doom arrives on the Avengers’ universe claiming to be a hero, whose universe was destroyed, killing his wife and son, and they trust him because he’s a variant of Tony Stark.>Doom manipulates the heroes, leading into a big threeway battle between the Avengers, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four until they realize Doom is behind everything and team up against him.>Doom executes his masterplan, gains godlike power and reshapes the Multiverse into a single timeline called “Battleworld” where he is the god emperor of the universe.>A group of heroes manages to escape, leading into Avengers: Secret Wars, where they must break restore their friends’ memories, and rise against and defeat Doom to fix the timeline.

Sam Wilson continues as Captain America and Thor wields Stormbreaker.>Doom arrives on the Avengers’ universe with the Fantastic Four, who initially believe his story, and encounter the Thunderbolts, leading to a fight before Sam’s Avengers intervene.>Doom recruits Sam, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Bob/Sentry, Shang-Chi, Ant-Man and Captain Marvel for a mission to the X-Men’s universe.>Johnny Storm, Thing, Falcon, U.S. Agent, Red Guardian and Ghost are left behind to protect their universe.>Monica Rambeau has been trapped in the X-Men’s universe, which is one of the causes of the incursion.>The X-Men have disbanded and Jean Grey is dead. They initially work together with the Avengers, but Doom pits them against each other, leading to the threeway battle.>The battle is mostly the Avengers VS. the X-Men with the Fantastic Four trying to get everyone to stop fighting while Doom commands an army of Sentinels to attack everyone. That’s where the scene of Cyclops taking his visor from the latest trailer comes from.

Some heroes survive on a dimensional raft and the movie ends with them crash-landing in Battleworld and discovering Doom has won.The leaked concept art from Secret Wars gives an idea of how Battleworld looks like: A Game of Thrones-esque medieval world where Doom is king, with Sue as his wife and Franklin as his son, and Strange and Yelena as his enforcers. Reed and Johnny are seen as prisoners, with Hulk and She-Hulk ruling a whole village of Hulks and a new Black Panther ruling Wakanda, plus some sort of underground resistance formed by Star-Lord, Wong and the Young Avengers/Champions.

I think it would have been more interesting if they had skipped the Infinity War "various super hero teams try to stop the big bad from reaching his goal" setup and just kicked off with everyone already living in a fantasy world ruled by Doom with no context and the plot would be about them trying to escape.I mean the movie is literally called "Doomsday".
That's crazy, I'm still not watching this shit.
