>>151941389Seeing Teri interact within her coven and then outside that circle was some of the most fun I had with the cartoon in a very long time. To see that interaction range she had, something that is never afforded to the vast majority of the school cast, is probably in a way better for her to get than her getting another focused episode. I say that because I think The Summoning gutting out Gumball so that Darwin can breathe for himself was the best move for the writing of that episode. It's really not about Gumball in particular, it's the perspective of Gumball and Darwin as a duo interacting with others that is my issue. Teri can get a full episode where she's the focus but if it is a Gumball and Darwin and Teri episode, then the episode would have to do a lot of things to make sure that Teri's significance wouldn't feel downgraded when looked at next to The Summoning. The Summoning is an anomaly and not the norm, the style of writing this cartoon typically employs is not in her favor. She can get more screentime but it doesn't mean it will do any good for her. My fear right now is that her significance can be downgraded despite having more screentime if she is given that. Teri was lucky to go from background character to supporting character in that episode. I would love for the cartoon to maintain that level of interaction in some form at the minimum for the future, but that's me hoping and praying against the erratic whims of the writers though. Can never know what they'll throw out unfortunately even if I do think they did take some interesting directions for some moments.

It was about fun and creative silly adventures and really an homage to the last age of innocence (I do not consider teenage years to be innocent. Proto adults). The seasons post four all of sudden turned to referencing anime, online culture, etc. It's really the latter that ruined it for me. Gumball didnt need to appeal to the terminally online.
