I really don't like Michael. Not because he's bad, he's clearly good at what he does. My problem with him is that people treat him like he's God's gift to indie animation. Guy is good but he's not that good

Try out for every single indie project you can. Also do just one voice. It'll take longer to get noticed if you have range.

Make your own content, do parodies or something. Some of the 2010s VAs got popular and attracted their VA work that way. Doesn’t work unless you’re good at it though.

Unironically this. Comic dubs, story readings, your own miniature animations, anything you can do to get your voice out there. Make sure you have a good enough setup that your voice comes out crisp and clear - no Xbox 360 mic shit. And obviously your acting has to be on point, funny voices will only get you so far.
